Innovative insulating material with high thermal insulation properties and inbuilt graphite


TERAPOR® EPS insulation material is unique, combining innovation of the BASF® laboratories and the natural forces of the planet. This is due to the graphite particles embedded in its grainy structure.

Graphite is a natural material with excellent insulating properties - its structure does not allow heat rays and sound waves to pass through. When inbuilt in insulation material, it reflects most of the thermal radiation and substantially reduces heat absorption.
 

Why TERAPOR® EPS?

Thermal insulation: the properties of TERAPOR® EPS have been unknown while using the standard EPS - it reduces up to 60% in heating costs, keeping the heat inside the building. Graphite, which is embedded in expanded polystyrene spheres of TERAPOR® EPS, increases the thermal insulation properties of the material by over 20%, compared to standard EPS. Given the constantly rising cost of energy and energy resources, thermal insulating materials such TERAPOR® EPS are not revolutionary discoveries, but just part of the technology evolution for saving energy. Especially in isolation of buildings that require significantly more efficient insulation with low energy consumption for cooling or heating like hospitals, kindergartens, schools, manufacturing facilities, etc. 

Sound insulation: Laboratory studies have proven that TERAPOR® EPS reduces noise by up to 18 dB in the isolated object.

Green Product: created from natural materials, graphite insulation is fully recyclable and reduces the release of harmful emissions into the atmosphere

Compactness: under circumstances, where every inch counts, TERAPOR® EPS allows 20% reduction of the thickness of the panels compared to conventional insulation material, achieving the same heat efficiency. This advantage is particularly important when working in areas with limited space, in which is aimed to maximize compactness of used products and materials. Where space matters, THERAPOR® EPS boards allow to achieve thermal efficiency, consistent with those of standard EPS, but by a much smaller thickness.

For new residential construction practice, which is becoming more optimal in utilizing space, durability of the facade and high cost efficiency of implementation, TERAPOR® EPS is the best insulation material due to its high efficiency insulation characteristics and compactness of the plates. Marisan's new product is suitable for refurbishing old buildings - except that they need highly efficient isolation, spaces therein have been arranged optimally by the inhabitants.
